A-Z Book Tag

Hey! It's me! You might not have remembered me because it seems like I never post here anymore! Don't worry, I am trying to be better about that. I want to start posting at least one book review or one book tag a week. It's a challenge for myself as well as something to keep my creative juices flowing. I'm even going to put a few on a schedule so they will post while I'm on vacation! I am hoping that by committing publicly to this new rule I'm putting in place for myself that I will stick to it but I guess only time will tell.
     If for some reason you actually like hearing my thoughts, I post more regularly on my Instagram account of the same name. I actually have posted every day this month for a reading challenge called #ReadingPride, created by Marrill of BooksandRavens on Instagram! I've had a lot of fun participating, and she is such a sweet person with lovely photos, you should definitely check her account out!

Anyways, on to the book tag. I'll be honest, unless I specifically state where the tag is from, then you should automatically assume that I don't know because way back in the beginning of 2017 I found a bunch of tags I liked and wrote them down in a word document. Without credit. I know, I know. I'll do better next time.

My 2018 wrap-up!

At the end of 2017, I decided I wanted to try doing a book jar. How that works is you take a jar (or anything that will hold paper) and every time you finish reading a book, you write down the title, author and star rating (optional, I didn't but I will this year) plus a short review or your thoughts on it, then I like to put the date on it so I know when I read it and stick it in the jar! Now, I kept forgetting to add books to my Goodreads challenge after I put the note in the jar, so I think my counting is a bit off. I'm going into this believing that I read 67 books in 2018. I guess we'll see if I can count at the end of this! So, how this is going to work is I will be writing, in order of when I read them, what the book was and my review of it. An Interview with Beth Revis and Kati Gardner

Hello! It's been a while since I have posted a review, but that's because I have a lot of school work to catch up on. We had to evacuate for Florence and nothing ended up happening to our house. It was more to help our peace of mind. We had a mini vacay, it was cool. 😁 On September 26th, Beth Revis and Kati Gardner came to my local bookstore! 2019 Blog Plans

It's been awhile since I last posted. This year has been stressful for lots of personal reasons, but it has also been great. My main 2019 resolutions are to be more active on here and on my bookstagram. Here are my bookish goals for the new year. 1. Post here at least once a week 2. Get my Netgalley rating up to 80% 3. Stay on top of my Goodreads reading challenge (I am just short of completing my 2018 goal, I'll let you know in a follow up post of my 2018 books if I hit it or not) 4. Interview more authors ( and hone on my technique!) 5. Learn how to take better bookstagram pictures and get the right equipment. 6. Get a bookish twitter! Most of my favorite part of the bookish community is everyone interacting with each other and authors on twitter, and I'd like to be a part of that!
