A-Z Book Tag

Hey! It's me! You might not have remembered me because it seems like I never post here anymore! Don't worry, I am trying to be better about that. I want to start posting at least one book review or one book tag a week. It's a challenge for myself as well as something to keep my creative juices flowing. I'm even going to put a few on a schedule so they will post while I'm on vacation! I am hoping that by committing publicly to this new rule I'm putting in place for myself that I will stick to it but I guess only time will tell.      If for some reason you actually like hearing my thoughts, I post more regularly on my Instagram account of the same name. I actually have posted every day this month for a reading challenge called #ReadingPride, created by Marrill of BooksandRavens on Instagram! I've had a lot of fun participating, and she is such a sweet person with lovely photos, you should definitely check her account out! Anyways, on to the book tag. I'...

Book Tag: Marvel

In honor of Avengers: Infinity War coming out this month, I thought I would do a Marvel tag. It will be the same as last time, if you would like to do this, feel free! Q1. Iron Man: Favorite first book in a series? A1: Oh man, there are so many good first books. If you didn't like the first one, how did you move on in the series? But I think I have to go with A Darker Shade of Magic by V. E. Schwab. I love that book to bits. Q2: Captain America: A book/series you've read that took place in another time period? A2:  The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare. I loved the Victorian/steampunk vibe of the whole series 😍 Q3: Thor: Pick a character that appealed to you even more once they were cast for a movie/show. A3: Ruby Daly, from The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken. Next question? Q4: Hawkeye: A book that you love but is not very popular? A4: I am choosing two for this one. The first is Defy The Stars by Claudia Gray. Think Westworld, bu...

Hamilton Book Tag

In honor of Lin-Manuel Miranda's child being born, and because I love the Hamilton soundtrack, I wanted to do this book tag! Taken from Dreamland BookBlog who got it from Maureen Keavy. The Room Where It Happened: A book world I would put myself into  I would have to say A Darker Shade of Magic's Londons. Specifically Red London. I would love to explore the markets and castle and riverside and kingdoms. They Schuyler Sisters: An underrated female character One of my favorite underrated female characters is Lysandra from the Throne of Glass series. She is tough as nails, a "mother" and a shapeshifter. And almost no one talks about her! Everyone is all over Elide. (And in my opinion, Elide is overrated. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) My Shot: A character that goes after something they want and doesn't let anything stop them Aeduan from the Witchlands series. I think he is the perfect candidate for this question because that's all he ever does if go after things/people....

Get To Know Me Book Tag!

My first book tag! I wanted to post this so you guys could get to know me a little better. If you have any other book tag recs, let me know! (This tag was taken from Sarah & Shannan from The Little Contemporary Corner ) (Disclaimer: I use a lot of bullet points here. you've been warned.) THE BOOKISH QUESTIONS: Can you stop reading at any time, or does it have to be a certain page or chapter? I can stop at any given moment if it's an emergency, but otherwise I have to stop at a chapter. Do you eat or drink anything whilst reading? Occasionally. I make sure I'm very careful though. Sometimes if I'm really absorbed in a book, I forget to eat so snacking while reading is a good idea for me. Can you read listening to music or watching TV? No. I get way to distracted. It's hard enough when people are in the room talking. This makes reading in public places very difficult. One book at a time, or several at once? I try not to start too many at a time. (Spoil...
